The Church Ambassador Network of Kansas, along with Kansas Family Voice, will host a powerful webinar featuring members of Care for Every Family and a panel of pastors who have been personally involved in foster care.
The event will highlight the vital role that faith communities play in supporting at-risk families, fostering children, and reducing the number of children in the foster care system.
Our panel includes a special guest, Bishop Martin from the movie Sound Of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. He will share the inspiring story of how his church community adopted 77 children from the foster system, reducing the number of children in care to zero in their area. Their incredible journey, demonstrates the transformative power of love and faith in action.

BISHOP MARTIN
Bishop W.C. Martin is a visionary pastor, author, and adoption advocate dedicated to mobilizing Christians to care for orphans. Alongside his wife, Donna, he has lived out this passion, adopting four children and inspiring their community to follow suit. Their remarkable story sparked a movement in their small Texas town, where 22 families adopted 77 children from foster care. As senior pastor of Bennett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Possum Trot, Texas, since 1985, Bishop Martin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and community building. His message has resonated nationally, with appearances on Oprah, Dateline NBC, and Good Morning America. A sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator, Bishop Martin travels extensively, sharing his expertise on adoption, fostering, and community engagement. His vision is bold: to empty the foster care system by supporting families and ensuring children never need to enter it. Bishop Martin’s inspiring story is now immortalized in the Angel Studios film, The Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, cementing his legacy as a champion for vulnerable children.

SADIE WILLIAMS
“Sadie Williams is a passionate disciple of Jesus, wife to Randy, lead pastor at Refuge Church in Wichita, and mother to five precious children. As a foster and adoptive parent, Sadie advocates tirelessly for vulnerable families, driven by her conviction that every child deserves a safe, loving home.
With her family, she’s committed to restoring family unity and empowering the Church to support those in need. As a leader in her community, Sadie champions CarePortal, a revolutionary Care-Sharing platform dubbed “the Uber of Foster Care” by the Washington Street Journal. By mobilizing churches and communities to assist children and families in crisis, CarePortal is transforming child welfare in the U.S. Sadie’s dedication ensures technology serves the greater good, with Jesus and His Church at the forefront. Through her work, Sadie embodies the intersection of faith, family, and community, inspiring others to join the mission of caring for the most vulnerable.”

RYAN BATY
Ryan Baty is a Wichita native, entrepreneur, and community leader. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Ryan graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Strategic Communications and History, where he was a three-time team captain, All-American, and Jayhawk Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a member of the KU baseball team. He went on to play professional baseball with the Tampa Bay Rays organization. After his baseball career, Ryan founded THE mattress HUB, developing it into a leading mattress retailer in the region. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Newman University in 2014 and has been recognized as an innovative leader in the bedding industry. Ryan’s business investments span retail, eCommerce, real estate, NIL representation, and cattle. Committed to giving back, Ryan serves as Sedgwick County Commissioner for District 4 and supports various non-profits focused on Christian ministry, foster care, local schools, and mental health. Ryan and his wife, Alicia, have four children: Reese, Landry, Rhett, and Bryer.

JOE WOODWARD
Joe Woodward is a devoted follower of Jesus, grateful for his adoption into God’s family. He shares his life with his loving wife, Andrea, and their two precious children, Belle and Miles, whom they’ve welcomed through adoption. As a family, they’re passionate about caring for vulnerable children and families, serving as Safe Families for Children host parents and volunteering with Care Portal. Committed to his community, Joe serves as an Elder at First Evangelical Free Church, guiding and supporting the congregation. Professionally, he leads as Director of Wichita Operations at Stand Together Foundation, driving initiatives that empower local communities and foster positive change. Through his faith, family, and service, Joe embodies compassion, leadership, and humility.

NIMA MOSSALLAH
Nima is a surrendered follower of Jesus Christ, grounded in faith and fueled by passion. She is a proud mother of five remarkable sons, who inspire her daily. Nima’s personal journey has given her a profound understanding of the foster care system. Having navigated 17 placements in just three years before aging out of state custody in the 90’s, she is now dedicated to empowering others. This lived experience ignites her advocacy for vulnerable families and youth. Currently, Nima is pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Wichita State University, set to graduate in May 2025. This education equips her to further serve her community effectively. She lovingly serves at The 316 Church. Professionally, Nima is an Initiatives Coordinator at Stand Together Foundation in Wichita, advocating for community transformation. Through her work, she strives to bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and empower marginalized voices. Nima’s life is a testament to the power of faith, family, education, and community service.
